Texas Township Trailway

The Texas Township Trailway is a paved trailway (over 2.7 miles) connecting downtown Texas Corners to 12th Street & Milham Avenue. It runs parallel to Texas Drive Park, crosses through a portion of Al Sabo, over Texas Drive, and finally ends at 12th Street. It was constructed using grant monies from MDOT and MDNR, as well as Texas Township General Funds, donations from the Friends of Texas Township Parks and Trails, and the Laugh Out Loud 5K Run.

The trailway is open for bike and pedestrian traffic. Parking is available at the Al Sabo parking lot on Texas Drive and overflow parking is available at either of the Texas Drive Park parking lots. Please note that parking on Texas Drive is prohibited.

Notice of Phase II Trailway Closure – October 1

Please be advised that the Texas Township Trailway will be closed October 1 (weather dependent) for preventative maintenance, including crack filling and resealing. This important work will help preserve the trail and ensure its continued safety and usability for years to come.
