Members

The Committee is composed of five members: 

  • One Township Board member
  • One member with emergency medical experience
  • One member with law enforcement experience
  • One member with fire service experience
  • One citizen at large

Members are appointed by the Township Board.

Committee Purpose

The purpose of the Texas Township Public Safety Committee is to:

  • Advise the Township Board of Trustees on operations and recommend policies for Police/Sheriff services, Fire / Rescue services, and Emergency Medical Services.
  • Review operations and performance standards for Police, Fire/Rescue and Emergency Medical Services (EMS) services.
  • Address other public safety issues that may arise within the Township.
