Family-Friendly Concert at Texas Drive Park | Saturday, July 9 | 3-6PM

On Saturday, July 9, join us at Texas Drive Park for a family-friendly musical concert and help us celebrate the future Maple Hill Splash Pad. This event is free to attend. Please bring a lawn chair or blanket. Light concessions will be available for purchase. We encourage you to grab dinner at one our Texas Corners restaurants after the show!

Performer Details

Kalamazoo Concert Band Ensemble Performances

  • The Kalamazoo Concert Brass is a break out ensemble from and representing the Kalamazoo Concert Band.  They play various styles of brass music including: baroque, Latin, blues, pop, oldies, etc. They play regularly at Louie's Bar and Arcadia Ales. All donations from their performances are given back to the Kalamazoo Concert Band. 
  • The Trombone Quartet “The Four Tones” is comprised of members of all the Kalamazoo Concert Band trombone section. Formed as a small ensemble representing the KCB, The Four Tones play a wide variety of musical styles performing for community, school and church audiences. Members include Martin Obed, Barry Heywood, Larry Daugherty, and Brian Shetterly who collectively have over 250 years of playing experience. 


  • Not all cover bands are created equal. Moonshot is a classic & modern rock trio based in West Michigan and is comprised of some of Michigan’s best musicians and singers. All members sing and harmonize and cover guitars, Keys, bass, drums and lots of great harmonica and slide guitar! You'll hear all the hits from the 60's, 70's, 80's, 90's to today's hits. Bands like The Beatles, CCR, ZZ Top, Justin Timberlake, Earth Wind And Fire, Tom Petty, Aerosmith, The Eagles and on and on!


  • Kids obstacle course organized by Mindset PT
  • Bag toss sponsored by Consumers Credit Union
  • Yard games sponsored by Maple Hill Auto Group
  • Check out the firetruck and meet staff of Texas Township Fire Department

Sweets & Treats

  • The Cheese Lady: Individual cheese plates, meat & veggie options
  • Ice Box Brand: Gourmet ice cream bars 
  • Water & non-alcoholic beverages will be available for purchase at the Pavilion - feel free to bring your own non-alcoholic beverages/cooler! 

Parking Details

Please enter at one of the two NE entrances to Texas Drive Park. The S entrance is exit only. We have limited accessible parking spots available; please arrive early for preferred parking.

There are 140 parking spots are available at Texas Drive Park. If you live in a neighborhood adjacent to the park, please consider using the trail system to bike or walk to the event! 

Items to Bring

  • Lawn chair or blanket
  • Feel free to bring your own cooler/snacks - please keep in mind alcohol is not permitted
  • Sunscreen and/or sunglasses (it's going to be sunny!)
  • Bug spray (just in case)

If bringing a tent or umbrella, please setup towards the back of the seating area to avoid blocking anyone's view
