Save the date

Save the Date: Concert in the Corners!

On Saturday, July 9, join us at Texas Drive Park for a family-friendly musical concert and help us celebrate the ground-breaking of the Maple Hill Splash Pad. Please bring a lawn chair or blanket. Light concessions will be available for purchase. We encourage you to grab dinner at one our Texas Corners restaurants after the show!

3:00 p.m.         Kalamazoo Concert Band “The Four Tones”

                        Kalamazoo Concert Brass

4:00 p.m.         Intermission

4:30 p.m.         Moonshot Band

Kalamazoo Concert Band Ensemble Performances

  • The Kalamazoo Concert Brass is a break out ensemble from and representing the Kalamazoo Concert Band.  They play various styles of brass music including: baroque, Latin, blues, pop, oldies, etc. They play regularly at Louie's Bar and Arcadia Ales. All donations from their performances are given back to the Kalamazoo Concert Band. 
  • The Trombone Quartet “The Four Tones” is comprised of members of all the Kalamazoo Concert Band trombone section. Formed as a small ensemble representing the KCB, The Four Tones play a wide variety of musical styles performing for community, school and church audiences. Members include Martin Obed, Barry Heywood, Larry Daugherty, and Brian Shetterly who collectively have over 250 years of playing experience. 

Moonshot

  • Not all cover bands are created equal. Moonshot is a classic & modern rock trio based in West Michigan and is comprised of some of Michigan’s best musicians and singers. All members sing and harmonize and cover guitars, Keys, bass, drums and lots of great harmonica and slide guitar! You'll hear all the hits from the 60's, 70's, 80's, 90's to today's hits. Bands like The Beatles, CCR, ZZ Top, Justin Timberlake, Earth Wind And Fire, Tom Petty, Aerosmith, The Eagles and on and on!
