Voted to discontinue the process of establishing a Special Assessment District (SAD) for fire and police services. There will not be a second public hearing on September 8. Instead, the Board is working closely with staff to explore and evaluate long-term funding solutions and anticipates placing a funding proposal on the ballot for a public vote in August 2026.
Approved submitting reimbursement to MSP in amount of $105,594.20 for Section 19 Tornado Relief Funding.
Adopted Resolution 25-17, introducing Ordinance No. 380, and set the ordinance adoption meeting for September 8, 2025. Ordinance No. 380 amends the zoning ordinance to add new definitions, standards for temporary uses and special events, and amends the landscaping, screening and fencing section.
Approved the agreement with VK Civil for construction engineering services related to the Longhorn Drive project.
Approved the hiring of Paid on Call Firefighters Kenny Wieferich, Zach Markus, and Nick Beyer.
Authorized the hiring of Samantha Fernandez as Administrative Assistant.
Approved extension of contract services for social media through September with directive for staff to coordinate service internally moving forward.
