🚨 Public Hearing: Proposed Fire & Police Special Assessment District (SAD) 🔥🚓
Texas Township is committed to protecting our residents, businesses, and first responders. As demand for emergency services continues to grow, so does the need for sustainable funding to support critical operations—such as 24/7 emergency response, police protection, and the replacement of aging fire apparatus and equipment.
To meet this need, the Township Board is considering a township-wide, millage-based Fire and Police Special Assessment District (SAD). This proposal is designed to:
✅ Ensure long-term sustainability for essential fire and police services
✅ Preserve general fund resources for other vital township operations and services
The first of two public hearings will be held on August 11. You can provide comments at the meeting, by email to info@texastownship.org, or by delivering written feedback to Township Hall.
