[ARCHIVED] Plumbing Inspection Services

News Flash Headers (2)

We are pleased to announce that the Building Department will begin offering plumbing inspection services effective December 28, 2021. As the Township continues to experience explosive growth, the Township Board felt that the addition of an in-house plumbing inspector will maximize our ability to provide coordinated, efficient, and comprehensive inspection services.

Beginning December 28, all new plumbing permit applications will need to be submitted to the Township’s Building Department. We will start performing plumbing inspections on January 3.

  • If you have an open and existing project with the State, you will continue to contact the State for plumbing inspections.
  • If your permit with the State has expired, and no inspections have been performed, you may submit a new application with the Township, if you so desire.

John Dobberteen will be serving as the Township’s Plumbing Inspector. He will be providing inspection services on Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Inspections may be scheduled online at or by calling 269-978-0715. Same-day inspections may be scheduled until 10:00am.

If you are not already registered to do work with the Township, please contact the Building Department to setup your account information. This will give you access to all of our online services, including online permit application submittal, inspection scheduling, and online payment. We will need a copy of your current state license. Please submit your information to Jennie Miller, Building Department Assistant, at
